See You at the Reunion!

There will be a Grand Fellowship of Pangasinenses at the Manila Hotel on 08 December 2006, 7pm. This event will be highlighted by the re-activation of Kaluyagan nen Palaris and the awarding of Pangasinenses with identifiable, outstanding work in the development of Pangasinan as well as those who have risen to national and international prominence as a result of their outstanding documented/verifiable contributions to national/international development.

1. Reactivation of Kaluyagan nen Palaris. Those of you who can trace their roots (by blood) to Pangasinan, those who were born there and those who may not have been born in Pangasinan but have resided in Pangasinan for at least ten (10) consecutive years can become members of the reactivated organization. A membership fee of One Thousand Pesos (P1,000.00) is required for those who would like to become voting members.

2. Awarding of Outstanding Pangasinenses. You are invited to nominate (including yourself) Pangasinenses (still living or those who have moved on) with outstanding work in the fields of art, culture, civic works, science, sports, media, education, business and such other fields/disciplines that impact on people's lives and development.

These two activities signals the reorientation of the organization as a development organization focusing mainly on initiatives to move towards the goal of becoming the premier province in the North based initially, on the Human Development Index (HDI).

Kaluyagan nen Palaris is now being led by development-oriented leaders headed by DENR Usec Francisco S. Bravo (President), Mr. Tony Tamayo (Vice-President), Mr. Melandrew T. Velasco (Secretary-General), Ms. Aurora S. Bautista (Secretary), and OWWA Trustee Virginia J. Pasalo (Treasurer).
